I've had several clients asking me for a Vegan version of my Ghaliyah series - in part I think they are wanting a vegan version, in part a less expensive Ghaliyah to wear. More on why Ghaliyah's tend to be so expensive ...
For those not aware of the tradition of Ghaliyah - Ghaliyah means “Precious” in Arabic, and “al Molouk” means “The King”. Ghaliyah al Molouk is, quite literally, the Precious Fragrance of The King.
Ghaliyah has been the fragrance of Arabian Sultans and Sheikhs for at least 14 centuries, with the tradition likely pre-dating the Islamic tradition of making them. Since their inception, they were composed of the most precious and expensive aromatics available.
At their most basic, they were fragrances compounded into Oil of Ben (what you and I know as Moringa Oil) and were made from simply Musk and Ambergris. Rose, Saffron, Spices and Oud were all commonly added, as Ghaliyah is less of a singular scent and more of a style comprising a variety of precious ingredients.
As this is now my 7th Ghaliyah offered - and my 1st Vegan Version - I can attest that, although they all contain many common core ingredients - each specific oil is quite distinctive from the others.
**(this particular Ghaliyah, btw - uses no carrier oils. Rather I use one of our Rising Phoenix Mysore Sandalwood oils)
For this batch, I used over a staggering 100 ingredients to make this Vegan version.
*Be sure to check out my Ghaliya al Molouk for a version more true to the historical architecture.

As I had mentioned, I've had folks asking me for a vegan version of this beloved Arabian tradition for quite some time, as the more traditional versions are a bit pricey, and as such - maybe a little too precious for daily use. That - and no animalics. To each their own.
So to be clear - this is an animalic-free version that took quite some time to develop. Call it what you like - all natural, sustainable, vegan, affordable.
Those that I have tested this with have all reported back to me that it is very rich, full bodied - and most interestingly - that it is piercingly elevating and mentally clarifying. Several folks reporting back that it cleared their sinuses and pierced their brains. All telling me that it smells fantastic and meditative 🥰
Without going into too many details - this composition is comprised of over an incredible 100 materials - many of these produced in-house for this project.
Compounded into a batch of Mysore Sandalwood I made just for this project - along with a stunning batch of Oud I think I may offer a little of on the side, as it is really spectacular. Keep an eye out for that one ...
More than a dozen rare deg and bapkha-distilled Indian florals, juiced over wood-fired set up - from 3 different regions in India (Kannuaj, Kerala, and Karnataka)
Rare spice oils from the Subcontinent (primarily India and Sri Lanka) and SouthEast Asia (primarily Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand).
Other rare oils like distilled earth - the scent of fresh rain - known as Mitti.
As well as other roots and woods from across Asia - totaling over 100+ materials compounded into one of my precious reserve batches of Mysore.
Sounds delectable, right!?
Each batch of my Ghaliyahs are standalone batches. Grab some of this unique, vegan Ghaliyah, which smells like a quintessential Arabian Dream.
