Many folks don't realize that Nutmeg is actually a fruit seed, and that Mace is the skin of that fruit seed.
Nutmeg is an invaluable material in Chinese and Ayurvedic Medicines. In Chinese we say it Enters the Large Intestine, Spleen, and Stomach - Binds the Intestines (firming loose stools), and Warms the Middle Jiao). It is anti-microbial and rather smile inducing.
Nutmeg oil has a sweet, woody, spicy, pine-like aroma similar to the aroma given off when baking. Nutmeg oil blends well with Cardamom, Sweet Orange, and Peru Balsam. Nutmeg is a common oil in holiday, seasonal, Oriental, and gourmand blends.
Personally, I like Nutmeg for it's almost Deer Musk-like skin note on dry down. Too much and it'll smell spicy and of nutmeg - but just a hint and the sexiest skin note emerges.
Sri Lankan Nutmeg is the most expensive Nutmeg on the planet. It's highly valued in the culinary industry for being a cleaner, sweeter smelling and tasting material than from other regions. This is a rare treat - artisan-distilled steam distillation from fresh, premium Nutmeg fruit seeds.
This is the premium stuff. Candy sweet, oh-so-good artisan-distilled Nutmeg.
The materials that I get are not often found among more commonly accessible aromatherapy suppliers. The quality is in the top 1-3% that is reserved for perfumery use - and the production is often from small artisan operations rather than huge commercial commodity producers. This is a rare treat.
Perfect for compounding your own perfume or aromatherapy blends - and incredible in an aroma diffuser.
**DOES NOT come with a regulator. You'll want to pick up some pipettes to use, as well.
I've got some pipettes listed in the shop should you need them.
